ABOUT
I own Production Voices, a sample library company that produces professional multi-microphone samples of grand pianos and other instruments.
I also own and operate an Artist Development company, Boreal Forest Music Productions, where I work with artists as a career mentor, producer and co-writer.
I have a keen interest in how interface influences technology and creativity.
From 2004 to 2019, I was a professor in the Music Industry Arts program at Fanshawe College teaching a wide range of courses including music technology, digital music production, business labs and song composition and analysis. I also developed curriculum and lectured on media technology and culture at the University of Western Ontario (Western) for 10 years.
I authored the text Audio and Music Production Using Technology for the music technology courses at Fanshawe and Western. I am currently working on other resources including a producer’s study course on Aural Memory, a resource on Music Production Analysis and a media resource for artist development.
I live in London, Ontario with my wife, two daughters and son. I split my time between teaching, producing and assisting my wife and her team at One Little Project, her media company that creates crafts and recipe tutorials viewed by millions.
